Life insurance is available through Slate

New Slate members have 60 days from the date you join us to apply for a standard level of Death Only, or Death and Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) insurance cover.

Slate Super doesn’t sign you up for insurance automatically, as part of our commitment to be totally transparent and clear about what you’re signing up for. You’re in the driver’s seat when deciding if applying for Standard Cover through super is right for you—and here are a few benefits to consider.

No health checks for new members

No need to provide our Insurer with evidence of good health if you apply within 60 days of joining

Paid directly from
your super

Premiums are automatically deducted from your super account, with no impact to your day-to-day income

How do I apply?

New Slate member

If you joined Slate Super within the last 60 days, log in to your Slate app to calculate the amount of cover you can apply for, review the cost and submit your application in a few simple steps.

Existing Slate members

If you’ve been a member of Slate Super for more than 60 days, you can still apply for Voluntary Cover by completing a more thorough application process, which includes providing our Insurer with your full medical history. You can request a Life Insurance Application Form by contacting us.
